School Closing and Delay Information

School Closing and Delay Information:
One Hour Late Opening:
  • The media announcement will state “All Baltimore County Public Schools will open one hour late.”
  • Lutherville will open at 10:05 A.M. and classes will begin at 10:20 A.M.
Two Hour Late Opening:
  • The media announcement will state “All Baltimore County Schools will open two hours late with no morning pre-kindergarten classes.”
  • Lutherville will open at 11:05 AM and classes will begin at 11:20 A.M.
  • Lunches will be served on a slightly adjusted schedule.
One Hour Early Closing:
  • The media announcement will state “All Baltimore County Public Schools will close one hour earlier than normal closing time.”
  • Lutherville will dismiss at 2:45 P.M.
  • Lunches will be served as usual.
  • OPEN DOOR daycare will NOT operate.
Two Hour Early Closing:
  • The media announcement will state “All Baltimore County Public Schools will close two hours earlier than normal closing time. There will be no afternoon pre-kindergarten classes.”
  • Lutherville will dismiss at 1:45 P.M.
  • Lunches will be served as usual.
  • OPEN DOOR daycare will NOT operate.
Three Hour Early Closing:
  • The media announcement will state “All Baltimore County Public Schools will close three hours earlier than normal closing time. There will be no afternoon pre-kindergarten classes.”
  • Lutherville will dismiss at 12:45 P.M.
  • Lunches will be served on an adjusted schedule.
  • OPEN DOOR daycare will NOT operate.
Open Door Reminder:
When schools close early due to unexpected factors (like weather), Open Door does NOT operate! In this instance, Open Door students WILL NEED TO BE PICKED UP BY PARENT IN THE CARPOOL LINE! Open Door children ARE NOT able to ride a school bus home as per transportation due to overcrowding issues. Please make arrangements for cases such as this and pay attention to closing announcements when necessary.
